WHAT DO WE DO?

Nocko -

Keyboardist / Music Director / Producer

is the musical director for DANGERZONE and he plays the keyboard, vocoder, and does all of the programming for our shows. Nocko uses two Fantom keyboards and two MPC 4000 machines for our shows.

He has now added to his list of skills the title of engineer, having engineering credits on Angie Martinez, Dru Hill, Frankie J, and T.I.’s latest projects. In recent years, Nocko has served as musical director & programmer for the likes of Case, Carl Thomas, Sacario, Chico Debarge, Nokio, Dru Hill, Blackstreet, Terry and Monica, and T.I. Recently Nocko has appeared with, played keyboards & programmed for Bobby Valentino (2007-08), Chingy (2007-08), Mary J Blige (2007), and Ludacris (2006-07) while appearing on The Tonight Show, Saturday Night Live, The Late Show, XM Live, Late Night at the Apollo, 106 and Park, and The Grammys. Nocko also has programmed tours for numerous artists from Case to 3rd Storee. Nocko will be the musical director for the Disturbing The Peace Tour anticipated to start early third quarter of 2009. The tour will feature Ludacris, Bobby Valentino, Chingy, and new-comer Steph Jones to name a few.

Currently Nocko’s producing & programming skills can be heard on Young Jeezy’s “And Then What”, T.I.’s “Top Back”, “Front Back”, “Da Dopeman” and “Big Sh*t Poppin”. Just a few of the artists Nocko has worked with as a producer, programmer and musician include: Dru Hill, Mary J. Blidge, Bobby Valentino, LuvHer, T.I., Young Jeezy, Frankie J., Fabolous, Mannie Fresh, Trina, Angie Martinez, Luke & Q, BlackStreet, Juvenile, Lil Mo, B.G., Ashanti, Chico DeBarge, Monica, Teddy Riley, Ludacris, 3rd Storee, Birdman, Nelly, Case, Blaque, Terry & Monica, Rick Ross, Slim Thug, Freeway, Trick Daddy, and Young Dro just to name a few.

Greg -

Drummer / Programmer

Greg is the main drummer for Dangerzone and is endorsed with Shine Drums..

Born in 1977, Greg always had a natural gift for music. Described as a chameleon since childhood, he knew he wanted to become a major force within the music industry. He began playing drums at an early age.  Following his father’s lead as a serious musician, Greg received formal training to polish his skills.  He began playing the drums and realized the gifts he possessed could lead the way to a fulfilling career.  To help take his dream to the next level, Greg formed GM Music Management, a music management company, in 2000.   From all indications, this skilled practitioner of music programming, MPC 2000s, and pro-tools editing is on his way to accomplishing every goal he has set in the music industry.

In recent years, Greg has served as a drummer for the likes of Case, Carl Thomas, Sacario, Donnel Jones, Ginuwine, SWV, Nokio, Dru Hill, P.Diddy, and Blackstreet.  Greg also has played for off Broadway plays and TV shows such as Momma I want to Sing, The Color of God, and the Arsenio Hall show.  Recently, Greg has appeared with and played the drums for Ludacris, Bobby Valentino, Chingy, Shareefa, Jadakiss, Marsha (Floetry), and Mary J Blige.

With his strong work ethics, inventive ways, and extraordinary talent, Greg’s potential is unlimited.

Sage Michael-

Keyboardist - Musical Artist

Who is Sage Michael?

Born in 1981, Sage Michael was raised in the town of Mount Vernon, New York. Music was bound to be a part of his life. As the son of a preacher, growing up in a spiritual and musical environment helped shape the person he has become.

Combining uplifting lyrics and original sound into a reflection of who he is. Sage has embraced spirituality and his love for music, and fused them into what he likes to call, "Rock & Soul".

Music and spirituality is rooted deeply is his family and has led to his ability to unify a myriad of soul, positivity and wisdom to be the foundation of not only his music, but his way of life. Sage relates music to faith. Not in the literal sense, but in the way that a powerful force can't be seen or touched but deeply felt. Sage Michael wants his audience to understand that music is a reflection of life.

Sage has worked with artists such as Mary J. Blige, Ludacris, T- Pain, Bobby Valentino, Amerie, Sacario, Jadakiss and Marsha Ambrosius from R&B group Floetry. He has notably performed on Saturday Night Live, The Jay Leno Show, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Late Night with David Letterman and Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Randall -

Trumpet Player

Randall Haywood’s musical presence was requested by jazz trumpeter Wynton Marsalis to perform with him on a television production entitled ‘Marsalis on Music’. The documentary teaches basic fundamentals in harmony and rhythm while exploring the commonalities and diversities between classical and jazz music. Randall performed in the Wynton Marsalis Big Band on the 1st and 2nd segments. He was a featured soloist on the 4th segment entitled ‘Tackling the Monster’. ‘Marsalis on Music’ is a Sony production that has been televised all over the world. Later that year, Randall was asked by, jazz pianist, Marcus Roberts to perform with his septet.

Randall toured and performed in front of thousands of fans at prestigious jazz festivals such as: the North Sea Jazz Festival in Den Haag, Vienna Festival in Austria, Prague Festival in Czechoslovakia, Pori Jazz Festival in Finland, and Istanbul Jazz Festival in Turkey just to name a few. On this tour, Randall was able to perform on the same stage with artists such as B.B. King, George Benson, Herbie Hancock, James Brown and Grover Washington Jr.

Randall still remains active in the jazz scene. He has shown his multi-talented skills by performing as a drummer with great artists such as jazz vocalist Nneena Freelon, saxophonist Bill Pierce, and pianist/actor Johnnie Oneal (from the movie ‘Ray’). Randall has dedicated an enormous amount of time (both professionally and privately) to instructing and tutoring students in the areas of reading, writing, math as well as music. In his endeavor to gain more musical knowledge and experience, Randall auditioned and was accepted into the Juilliard School where he is currently working on his Master of Music Degree in Jazz Studies.

Jason -

Bass Player

Jason was born in Yonkers, New York, At the age of 7 years old at his fathers workplace, his dad overheard his son playing the piano for the first time and was amazed. His dad noticed that his son was playing the piano fluently on his first try. It was then his parents realized there son was very talented in music and made sure he was doing music all the time. Throughout the early years of his life, Jason learned how to play harmonica, trumpet, drums, electric and acoustic guitar. At the age of fourteen Jason found the instrument that changed his life from that moment on. That love he found was the bass guitar. Jason spent long hours and late nights perfecting the bass guitar.

By fifteen he was on his first TV show performance playing on Mike's World w/Mike Phillips. Jason is now 24 years old and he is a producer, singer/songwriter and he has done scores and music for independent films. Jason has been on David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, Saturday Night Live, and Ellen Degeneres. Jason has played for Atlantic Star, Rob Murat, Shaggy, Micheal Paul, Bobby Valentino, Jaiden, Chingy, the Rising Group, Shareefa, Steph Jones, Jadakiss, Marsha from Floetry, TPain and more. He is currently playing for a band called Evensong Rising and three time grammy award winning artist, Ludacris.

Jeremy -

Saxophone Player

Jeremy has played sax with DANGERZONE since 2006, performing with Ludacris on The Tonight Show, The Late Show, SNL, Ellen, and Jimmy Kimmel Live. Living in Brooklyn, NY, Jeremy keeps busy playing with local groups and musicians including Bing and Ruth, Jesse Elder, Tim Berne, Myk Freedman, Jean Rohe, and Elan Mehler.

Jeremy studied music at the New School from 2004-08 and is currently working toward his Masters at The Juilliard School.

Corey -

Trombone Player

Corey was born in Houston, Texas. He started playing classical trombone at age 11 and found jazz a few years later when he enrolled in The High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. While Corey was in high school he had the opportunity to play in the Texas All-State Jazz Ensemble, The Gibson Baldwin Grammy Jazz Ensemble and won an outstanding soloist award from Down Beat Magazine in 2004. In fall of 04, Corey got a scholarship to study at THe New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York City where he studied with Anne Drummond, Stefon Harris, Vincent Gardner, Laurie Frink. While in New York, Corey has had the opportunity to play with Jason Moran, Dave Binney, Mos Def, Bilal, Elizabeth and the Catapult, Wyclef Jean, The Mettawee River Theater company under Ralph Lee and has recorded for Mark Ronson. In 2006 Corey went to Senegal, Africa to perform with R&B Artist Lauren Hill and performed with Rap Artist Ludacris on Jay Leno, Saturday Night Live and David Letterman Show. Corey is currently working on getting his band together and finishing his undergrad.
